Act first

1.1 scena 1 - Chateau and grounds of Count Arnheim
The chateau and grounds of Count Arnheim, on the Danube, near Presburg. On one side the principal entrance to the castle; opposite is a statue of the Emperor, above which a party is employed raising the Austrian flag.

Act second

2.1 scena 1 - Street in Presburg
Street in Presburg, moonlight. Tent of the Queen of the Gipsies, large curtains at the back - it is lighted by a lamp. On the opposite side of the stages are houses - one of which, an hotel, is lighted up.

2.2 scena 2 - Another street in Presburg
Another street in Presburg. Daylight.

2.3 scena 3 - Grand fair in the public plaatz of Presburg
A grand fair in the public plaatz of Presburg. On one side a large hotel over which is inscribed "The Hall of Justice". Various group of gentry, soldiers, citizens, peasantry, cover the stage. Foreign shops are seen in various parts, curious rope dancers, showmen, waxwork, a quack doctor, exhibitions and c. and c., are dispersed here and there. Flags hung out at the windows, and ringing of bells enliven the scene.

2.4 scena 4 - Interior of Count Arnheim's apartment in the Hall of Justice
Interior of Count Arnheim's apartment in the Hall of Justice. A view of the last scene visible through one of the windows at the back. A full length portrait of Arline, as she was in the first act, hangs on the wall - state chairs, and c. - an elevation or dais on the o. p. side.

Act third

3.1 scena 1 - Splendid saloon in the castle
A splendid saloon in the castle of Count Arnheim. On the ground floor, a large window at the back opening on the park. On the o. p. side the door of a small cabinet, doors at the back, leading into spacious galleries.
